As may be familiar to most here as a Sothside Johnny song, was originally written for Australian rock legend Jimmy Barnes who released it on his 1985 album For The Working Class Man.
Apologies for the video, sounds and picture wise not the best... but this is the official video from the official You Tube channel. Jimmy could do with some revamping in this area.
While Jimmy's solo career has its moments, I'd encourage all to investigate the catalogue of Cold Chisel, the band Jimmy fronts while not solo, for what I consider some of the greatest rock music the world outside Australia missed.
Barnes' acoustic version from Flesh & Wood sounds like a Mellencamp arrangement.
Jesus .... This is on Southside's Better Days album ? i give up. 🙄
For The Working Class Man is a record worth checking out. It might just lead you to the greatness that is Cold Chisel.
I had no idea ....Great song ....I'm a little disappointed its not a Steven original
We didn't all miss it.
Jimmy's original recording of the song is still my favorite. That album was designed for the American market and should have been big here.
