Mainly for @Jerseyfornia at this stage, but given the international line up this could have wider legs.
New album coming from what in the old days would be considered a super group. Vocals:Jimmy Barnes, Aussie rock singer legend. Guitars: Chris Cheney, Aussie rock (rockabilly) legend from the Living End. Ok, so far, so cool for us Aussie music fans. Then.. Slim Jim Phantom on drums (Stray Cats).. ok, international flavour. Kevin 'Caveman' Shirley on bass.. I only know him from producing Cold Chisel here, but I think he's also produced internationally. Then.. what the fuck... Jools Holland on keyboards? Is there some other keyboard player with that name? No, it is the Jools Holland.
First single... a cover of a killer rockabilly song by Australia's own Don Walker, best known as Cold Chisel's main song writer but with so much more under his belt.
Give me a glass of bourbon, and some rockabilly (especially Australian written that fits right in with the best of the genre) and Bosstralian is a happy man...
Cool Song and video ....Great piano
Oh, hell yeah. When's the album due out?
Kevin Shirley is pretty well known. Off the top of my head, he's produced and or engineered Journey, Aerosmith, Black Crowes, one of @SteveInJoburg's favorites Steve Louw, Dream Theater.
Like it. Coincidentally been listening to the Stray Cats past week or two. And yeah, Jools H is a bit of a surprise. Long since settled into the housewives boogie-woogie piano player of choice over here.
