There is a question worth exploring however with this thread insofar as while I'm not completely naive, Bruce had to know what he was getting into but something tells me Crowded House didn't know the exact "dynamics" of his dynamic and platinum pricing or why would they have to do something? If they knew enough to prevent it, wouldn't they have done so?
I honestly don't want to hear another meh response... We are trying our best to sort this out... Blah blah blah blah.
Immediate furious action is the only response that would make me satisfied. If nothing changes, he ought to remain silent. Less damage.
I'm guessing it's "contractual" basically something in the small print precludes Bruce inc. from interfering in Tickebastard's nefarious practices without a sizeable penalty.
I've been thinking about this and, for a tour of the size of this, Bruce inc. would incur considerable cost setting up the infrastructure to undertake "in house".
Hence the involvement of Live Nation promoting the tour and Ticketbastard the sales.
There are probably few organisations with the capacity to undertake something on this scale.
Because of this "cornering of the market" I'd guess TB played hardball with the "T&C" and Bruce inc. didn't care enough about the legalised touting that is dynamic pricing (or, dare I suggest, didn't know about it?) that they didn't fight to get rid of it.
This whole thing stinks to absolute high heaven.
As a general concept, I have no issue with adding a few quid to the cost of a GA and selling them as pit tickets, provided the "real" fans have a shot at these tickets, not just a shot at them, but dibs on them.
But this brings the infrastructure of managing back into play.
How do you do this?
I am absolutely gagging to hear a statement from our man on this whole shit show, I don't see a way of putting it right and I don't see a way, fuck there IS no way, of justifying it.
I fear we're either going to get some dancing on the head of a pin or the sound of silence.

Bruce hasn't said yet that he can't do anything. He just hasn't.
