what feels like a date night!
A meal and a ballet in Birmingham, a chance to wear a dress, put on some makeup and see the city lights.

Most peculiar, Mama.
All of our concert dates and theater performances have been cancelled. And simple get-togethers for dinner are out as well.
So a friend of mine who has a birthday on Sunday has come up with a strange little corona birthday "party." Instead of inviting people to a festive meal she will drive around to the people she would normally invite, taking the ready-cooked food for them to warm up and eat at home. She will be on the road most of the day, have a sip of champagne with all of them (her husband is driving) at their front door and then return home.
Strange times indeed.
I don't wear make up (other than Thursday nights......obviously) but it would be nice to put something on that's not my work togs, my running kit or my dog walking/slothing wear.
I haven’t put on mascara more than 4 times since March, I don’t think. 😞
I used to wear it every day, but when you hardly ever go out....
A very enjoyable evening, although it was heartbreaking being in the centre of Birmingham, seeing it so deserted on a Friday night.

I had meant to ask in my opening post whether anyone else was doing something which in normal times would be just normal, but feels special in these abnormal times?
