Dune (2020)

This is one that I've been really hyped for and the trailer for it has finally been released today.

Barring another instance of 2020 being 2020, it's due out in December.

Has anyone read the book? Did anyone get further into the original David Lynch directed film from 1984 than the two minutes I managed? And, of course, what you think about this trailer and all that?

I've given thought about reading the book, but I reckon if I'm to check it out I'll do so after these two films. I'm particular about 'spoilers' and what not in films.

Sorry to have only just seen this. Hahaha, yeah Chalamet and Zendaya are indeed two of the most popular "fresh faces" who've been invading Hollywood over the last couple of years, and they're definitely quite the contrast from Kyle MacLachlan and *checks Wiki* Sean Young in the '84 film.

As I touched upon in the OP, I tried watching Lynch's effort during Lockdown (surprise, surprise) but wasn't feeling it at all and immediately turned it off. My expectations for this one though are sky high, so hopefully Denis Villenueve doesn't let me down!
