Just watched all three episodes of the new series The Way.....fantastic stuff...episode one sets the scene and you need to stick with it and you will be very well rewarded by what comes after.
On another thread we were talking about "wad some power the giftie gie us"....this fits that bill superbly.
Firstly, if you did not see Question Time last night, do yourself a favour and get onto BBC Iplayer, very entertaining.
Now, Crime series 2 by Irvine Welsh is now available on STV, I have downloaded all six episodes, but have not had time to start watching yet, will do so inthe next few days.
Do not know if you have seen Annika yet, Glasgow Marine Police programme with a difference, series 1 had 6 episodes, and I enjoyed that, series 2 has just started on Alibi (will probably also come across to one of the mianstream BBC channels later on)....I think you might enjoy it.
The more I see of this programme the more I am liking it, I now find myself trying to fit in the next line of dialogue in advance, great fun when you are wrong.
Once Upon A Time in Londongrad on Sky Documentaries, 6 episodes about the Russian effecr on London, with Scot Young from Dundee right in the centre of things, well worth a watch.
Do not know how I missed this first time around, but currently watching Crime by Irvine Welsh, and it is superb, great cast , great story and the dialogue is..... well Irvine Welsh !!!!!
The newspaper article just said series 2 availabler on ITVx from Thursday...I had a look yesterday and no sign, but fully expect it to be there when I check on Thursday.
Well, as an Endeavour fan, I thought the last season wrapped nicely. Lots of little gems in the last episode. I look forward to going back and watching from the beginning again. I really enjoyed it. Ironically I tried to watch Morse (I never saw it originally) and found it dated and dull.
I remember loving Morse back in the day but I tried to watch one recently and agree with you - I couldn't finish the episode. Endeavour was excellent throughout.
Anyone UK folks watched 'The Walk In'? Stephen Graham was as excellent as ever, but I thought the guy who played Robbie, Andrew Ellis, really nailed it as a lonely, not terribly bright lad getting dragged into right wing politics. Not a brilliant series, but interesting enough.
Reboot, a series on Hulu. With a killer cast including Keegan-Michael Key, (a shockingly good) Johnny Knoxville, Rachel Bloom, Judy Greer and Paul Reiser, it's about a terrible (fictitious) sitcom from the 80s/90s reuniting the original cast, but with an edgier take. Three episodes in and it started really good but just keeps getting better.
Did two "tours of duty" with work during the boom years of the 70`s and 80`s and really loved the place, went by ferry both times, in those days it was the St Clair which would later become a football ferry to Gothenburg. Second tour we stayed at the most northerly hotel in Britain The Hagdale Lodge, which I understand is no longer there, those long summer nights were just great and at weekends there was a regatta at a different location each week. Worked hard, played hard and made many friends during this time, always promised I would go back for a look one day, but so far it has not happened....where does the time go ?
So we're nearly done with the fifth season of Shetland. Loved the first three seasons, liked the fourth, but wow. Unless they really pull a rabbit out in the final episode, I cannot believe how this season has gone downhill. I see that they've still mainly got the same main writers, so I don't understand what the hell happened.

This week I watched 11 Minutes on BBC 2 TV,4 episodes, well made but at times harrowing to watch, compulsive viewing.

1 hour long interview with Brian Cox on BBC Scotland at 11:00 PM ttomorrow night.
And for MRAFC...Billy Bragg is on Question Time tonight.
I like Brian Cox but have never got round to watching it.
Somebody must be watching Succession...
And that will be Season 2 T'ed up then.
It's a dark satire, a less sweary "Veep".
Binging on The Diplomat, very good.
Tip for when watching episodes one a two......it IS a satire.......I think?

Anyone else watching The Last of Us? Way too gross for me in small bursts, but the good parts are so damn good.
I'm enjoying the hell out of Daisy Jones & the Six.
Another that I'm Sky+ing for a binge AJ.

For fans of the ‘Shetland’ series.
