Haven't looked at the article but immediately "I'd love to kiss the Bangles" by The Saw Doctors, "Johnny set 'em up" by Bagatelle......is the Prefab Sprout one in? I'm not sure he's mentioned by name.

Neither the Saw Doctors nor Bagatelle seem to be there but, yes, the Prefab Sprout made the list.
