Friday arvo after work here, and I've cracked a Coopers Sparkling Ale and put on the LINYC DVD for the first time in ages. In particular, I've watched the mini doco called New York City Serenade built around the Bob Costas interview.
Bob mentions, specifically in reference to what was shown originally on TV I assume, that the show features 'footage from the last two shows at MSG'. What is which has been analysed by people smarter and with more time than me elsewhere, I assume for the TV portion ( I.e. disc one) this is correct.
However, in this same doco we get clips of Adam Raised and Back In Your Arms. Neither of these were played at the last two shows. Both were played in the third to last show, so presumably this was recorded also.
Then we also have a snippet of GOTJ. This wasn't played at any of the last three shows... it was last played in the fifth show of the ten show stand.
So my question is, how many of these last ten shows at MSG were filmed? All of them? Just 5, 8, 9 and 10 based on what I've noted above? Anyone know?
In slightly related news, if Bruce Inc wished to issue a 20th anniversary boxset including all the full shows filmed from this stand (even if its all ten), I have as many Australian dollars they care to ask for ready to hand over in appreciation.
If they were to ever release that box set, I'd buy it instantly. That would be amazing
Bosstradamus... I like that! 😂
I love the LA one. But all the shows so far released have something special to recommend them.
I think further official pro shot footage being released from this tour is sadly unlikely, but I expect the Archives series will eventually revisit the closing MSG stand (and probably more than once).
I would like a DVD with everything. Thanks to the Archive series, we have some great Reuninon era shows. My current favorite being Philadelphia.
