Thanks for reading, sorry I didn't reply with that earlier.
I agree that I prefer audio to concert film. I love watching films in general and try to go out of my way to watch at least one a night, but with live Bruce vids I really don't have the focus to sit and pay attention, and it has to be a special instance for me to sit and just devour tons of footage. Like tonight, for example 😉
Movies have gotten gratuitously longer and often I find the story doesn't support the 3 hour run time, while a TV series that's well written can hold me down all evening.
I'm not huge on watching concert videos repeatedly, especially Bruce, because I usually can't sit and watch for hours. It's not just concerts...many movies are too long for me. Shorter ones get more play around here and I've already watched No Nukes twice and will again and again over time.
I'm way more into listening to audio and now that I've got the audio of this, that will feature often. I usually created a single playlist from the two night archive release, so this will be perfect.
I've always loved concert videos, I think partly because I was never a huge gig goer as such in the day. Don't get me wrong, I saved my bickies for the big gigs from better known acts and have seen some pearlers, but was never a regular club/pub gig attendee listening to little known bands etc.
In my twenties I'd devour whole concert videos (or, more accurately, whatever edited version of said concert would be released) but these days I tend to watch the whole thing once or twice, and then hit the favourite songs for repeat viewings. Which actually works out well when you subsequently decide, having some extra time, to watch a full show again. Songs you neglected suddenly blow your mind.
I agree with the movie comment also, I rarely sit down for movies full stop thinking 'ahh, can't be arsed watching a 2.5 hour movie'. So, I'll watch TV shows instead, which is great now given the incredible leap in TV quality over the last 20 years. Of course, I will sit there and binge at least 2.5 hours worth of a TV show in one sitting, making my initial reaction to the movie moot.

Thanks, Mario.
