Was that definitely all Bruce shredding at the end? There was a bit, shortly before the premature ending, that made me wonder if Nils had taken over. (Yes, it was that good.)
What happened at the end of BITUSA? No way was that meant to end there, Bruce was only just warming up. In fact, this was well on the way to maybe being the best TOL tour version of BITUSA I have heard, which by default would make it the greatest full band BITUSA ever. As it is, it is now a bit of a curio.
I can only surmise Bruce accidentally made a gesture or movement that would normally be a queue for the band to finish the song, because everyone else enters the breakdown except the guitar soloing Bruce himself. Very intriguing.
Well, I do love me some Tunnel Of Love! Can't wait to listen to this one. I'm downloading it right now and I'll jump straight to In Dreams. Love that song
This is the story of how long have I been clueless.
Some of you might remember my first boyfriend, the one who introduced me to Bruce. The one who, and that's how it's supposed to be, later broke my young and naive heart to pieces.
It was the most typical adolescent love. He was athletic, played basketball. Funny and smart. We could talk about anything. He was intriguing and treated me as his equal. He introduced me to good music, recorded cassettes for me, wrote love letters in his hieroglyphic handwriting. When he couldn't find the words to express what he wanted to say, he would write various song lyrics for me... Mostly Bruce's.
We had fun as long as it lasted. We were all over each other all the time. Sneaked into my Grandma's flower shop to have sex there at nights when there was no other place to go.
He used to have cute nicknames for every part of my body, and he also named his dick - it was called Bobby.
I experienced an epiphany moment Friday night while listening to Spare Parts. It dawned on me no less than 32 years later. I was so excited that I almost texted him. Imagine the look on his face?
And I usually get the jokes and all the double meanings and references pretty quickly... 😁
I've only had a chance to listen to some of this so far, but purely from a setlist wise perspective, is this the definitive Tunnel release?
An earlier release had both Boom Boom and Be True at the top of the first set, but I have a feeling that show may have been missing Walk Like A Man and Dancing? The show previously released with Walk Like A Man was missing Boom Boom if I remember correctly? This is the one show that seems to have all the ducks lined up (the only thing missing is the horn laden Rosie, but I'm not sure where people rank that as a TOL tour essential).

From the men's room of New Jersey straight to your heart... 😊
Maybe I should say something about this show, eh?
As Adam had said so beautifully the other day, albums can become places for us to reside...
I have an annual discount pass to the Tunnel Of Love 'amusement' park, and I just can't get off this damn roller coaster ride...
Each Tunnel show is God's gift to my confused soul. It doesn't bring the answers, but I can get lost in the music and find some temporary solace.
I have to write a poem titled Bobby Dick and dedicate it to him. 😊

Can I share something funny, but quite personal? My first boyfriend's dick will have to be mentioned, that's why I'm asking.
The story belongs on this thread in case you are wondering...
Amazing recording. I will have very much more to say soon. Just listening to this and I am transported.
Crying.... ❤
Another Tunnel show... Perfect. Just what I need tonight. (not being cynical)
We've come such a long way since early 2020 that "Walk Like a Man"(!!!!) is very much overshadowed here.
