Janey is one of the greatest B sides ever, not just for Bruce, but rock in general IMO. It could be the career crowning glory for lesser mortals, our man tucks it away on the flip side of a single.
Nice work! This should suffice as a nice supplement while we all wait for the long awaited box set announcement, whenever that should come.
I'm reading through your track-list trying to see how I would have done this/what I would have included if I did this project myself. The "Shut out the Light"/ "Janey" / "Brothers" trio intrigues me, because while I think the former and latter being placed alongside "Johnny" and the title track would be the thematic choice, the breakup and relief "Janey" provides I think would bring about lots of interpretations. I could definitely see Janey being Jane Leneir in this context, crushed by her brother's PTSD. The "beyond a stretch of Maryland pines there's a river without a name" line would link greatly with "'Til every river baby it runs dry".
Also feel inclined to mention the absent "Sugarland", "Unsatisfied Heart" and "The Klansman", which I can't really find a place for in with those eleven tracks, but three songs that deserve a shout out nonetheless.

Janey is a tremendous song. I don't know if you can identify with her, but I certainly can.

Once again, good job!
