I just learned of the passing of a long time Laker and thought I should pass the word.
I only knew Tim from the Lake...we passed many PMs and emails over the years, but never met him in 'real life'. I don't know any info, just that he passed away on the 15th. I had exchanged emails with him just a couple days before. I was about to post the new song on his FB page and saw comments indicating his passing and then I found an Obit.
He was a good guy....and one of the 4 or 5 'Horsemen'....I never could get the number straight. He was a big fan of the Buffalo Bills (that's what my email to him was about) and of St. Bonaventure college. I was hoping to get him to sign up here...now I honestly don't know what to say. I wish I coulda had a beer with him like we talked about....RIP Tim. You'll be missed by family and friends....
Dunno 'bout anyone else but I'll keep deciding for myself what I would like to do, whether that's scroll on by or address a point - we're all different so will do different things.
Sad to hear this news. We had a mixed relationship, got along great a lot of the time and then snarked and fought like hell most other times. So terribly sad for his family.
I am finding this conversation fascinating. I am wondering if some of your thoughts have anything to do with us ultimately being here in the first place. As Jeannie says ..Scroll On .... Think twice before hitting Publish.
I was hoping the 'ignore' button might be a thing of the past over here. I hope so. I've used it, too, but realised how silly it was. None of us are here for very long ... let's listen to one another while we can. Or scroll by if needs be.
Damn. More loss. 2020 sucks.
This isn't possible. We had a like/dislike relationship over the years. We would ride each other pretty hard, then talk offline & laugh about it. Fuck me. I feel like I just got hit by a mack truck.
RIP. I hope he at least finds Clarence up there and they can chat
I’m still processing this. I was extremely ambivalent about the guy. He could be infuriating and funny. He changed quite a bit over the years, perhaps not for the better. But this is hitting me in an unexpected way. This is sad news.
I am going to post this on our former home. I'm sure there are a number of people who would like to know.
This is sad news. RIP, bbb.
Life is too fucking short people
I only knew him from the lake, a few PMs but he was one of my favorites
Our extended community has suffered a tragic loss
He was just so darn funny, he could make me laugh and laugh
If he liked one of my posts it made my day
Im feeling devastated
Rest in peace Tim
You will not be forgotten
I will miss you, i learnt so much from your posts and links
Absolutely stunned. Awful news. His humour has been missing from the Lake for a while and, as I didn't know him personally, that's something I'll always miss. Love you, bbb, rest in peace. x
PM'd him on GL a couple of times when we went to Buffalo in 09. Sorry to hear this news. R.I.P.
Shit.
Ride down easy, horseman.
Sorry for your loss, BillyB.
