@Bosstralian Yeah, It probably wasn't the best idea to use the newest unproven tech to record shows. But, this was not only their first attempt of documenting everything, but also their first time giving digital recording a shot. And they laid it all on the DSD recording system, which might have seemed like a great idea at the time, but has proven otherwise. I guess they banked on DSD being the next big thing and it did last quite a bit, but over time hasn't worked out like they thought it would. At the very least they should've had some kind of redundancy, either a multitrack recording going as well, or some other method. Probably why when John Cooper came on board they not only started to record everything, but eventually starting doing 2 full multitrack captures with 2 completely separate systems for redundancy. I mean, it's not like the tapes are completely gone, they proved that they have the ability to bring the tapes forward into the modern age, but it's probably a lot of work and not a one size fits all process that is completely automated. I do think that we haven't seen another because maybe the last one didn't sell well enough to justify it.

I actually tweeted at Flynn and the Podcast about this. According to the podcast twitter (which I'm sure is run by either Flynn or Hal). They said that as far as they know, JEMS doesn't have a full soundboard. And what is Bruce Co/Nugs going to do with a partial soundboard or even a partial tape of a show? Of course, if they asked, I'm pretty sure JEMS would even give a second thought to giving nugs the tape. Also, "professionally recorded" only means it wasn't recorded by the truck onto Multitrack. That doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't recorded in some way. By that definition, none of the 77 shows were recorded "professionally". Also, JEMS hasn't said anything on the topic of the Vets tape, aside from posting Darkness on the Edge of Town in much better quality than the existing tape. Which indicates that they have *something*.

While I don't see Nugs putting out the Vets show, I really hope JEMS releases the soundboard they teased last year. Rising doesn't shock me, I personally think either the Helsinki show was a one off and they're having more trouble with the other shows, or that it didn't sell well enough to justify the work needed for another release. I hope they just start regularly releasing modern shows like they did with HH and River 16. One or 2 a month of the modern shows and keep the classic shows to first friday.

For the Christmas release, it'd be cool to finally get CW Post 75 for the anniversary. We're due BTR anyways. Though I'd take Music Hall 77 in that slot. For out of left field, Vietnam Vets is top of the list obviously.

@BobbyJames I feel like there might be a "winner" on election day, but the time after election day is going to be absolute hell. I think it's state by state on how long after mail ballots will be accepted. Some have a hard cutoff on the 3rd at 8pm. Some are accepting mail ballots up to a week after provided they were mailed before or on the 3rd. It's a very messy situation. I wish I could have had a better election to be my first vote.

Also, seen around that some are guessing Rising based on the "Firemen" clue. That might be a redirect like the LOHAD lyric to hint Night Train.

I guess anything is possible, 77 has only had 2 releases and we haven't had a BTR release since December 18. The camps for the clues seem to be: Rising, Boston 77, I think I saw Magic. All 3 have gone a long time release. 2-3 years at least.
