In The Circuit - Bruce
Over the past few months I've been planning a new compilation. It's started mostly normal but then just expanded into this crazy project. I'm going to release it in parts, makes it easier for me to mix and it's easier listening as separate things rather than a big 60 song compilation. The first part is titled: "Someday I'll Walk out of Here Again". Cover art and link is below. Enjoy! LINK: https://mega.nz/folder/popgFLgS#Gjb12SljsY2_mzS9IDjGLQ Tracklist: 1. Badlands (Live at Memorial Coliseum, Portland, OR - October 1980) 2. Out in the Street (Live at Rosemont Horizon, Rosemont, IL - July 1984) 3. Spirit in the Night (Live at Capitol Theatre, Passaic, NJ - September 1978) 4. Darkness on the Edge of Town (Live at Madison Square Garden, New York City, NY - August 1978) 5. Factory (Live at Seattle Center Coliseum, Seattle, WA - October 1980) 6. Jackson Cage (Live at Seattle Center Coliseum, Seattle, WA - October 1980) 7. Intro - 'You End Up Trapped' (Live at LA Sports Arena, Los Angeles, CA - August 1981) 8. Trapped (Live at LA Sports Arena, Los Angeles, CA - August 1981) 9. Independence Day (Live at Palais Des Sports, Paris, FR - April 1981) 10. The Promised Land (Live at Paramount Theatre, Portland, OR - December 1978) 11. The River (Live at Johanneshovs Isstadion, Stockholm, SWE - May 1981) 12. Prove It All Night (Live at Capitol Theatre, Passaic, NJ - September 1978) 13. I'm not going to be one-upped, even by one of my most wanted archive releases. DOWNLOAD LINK: https://mega.nz/folder/9xACWLiC#ErYQrKqXxtfFYU8T5C2Amw Well, well, well, here we are again. A little background first. This year started with my first compilation, 'Two Lanes, Two Hearts', my ultimate Springsteen concert. That was followed by 'Nights at the Boston Music Hall', a compilation taking the best of the 4 night stand at the titular hall and creating the ideal show out of the 4 shows.  I thought that was it, I didn't have any ideas for other comps. Then October came. I started listening to bootlegs again as a way to help get me through my daily load of classwork and projects for College. An idea started to form, which turned into 'And the Leaves Came Tumbling Down'. A compilation drawing from the shows in the Falls of 1980 and 1984. This was also the least time I spent on a compilation to date, only taking 3 days to create. Then we come to November, I am a frequent visitor to r/BruceSpringsteen, and the corresponding discord server. They announced plans to dedicate the month of December to celebrating the 40th anniversary of the legendary 3 night stand at the Nassau Coliseum in Nassau, New York. Those shows took place on the 28th, 29th and 31st of December 1980. I started the compilation the week of Thanksgiving, mainly just the artwork and starting to plan the setlist. The rest of the compilation would have to wait for school to stop kicking my ass. The plan was to include every song played on the three nights, which was easy enough, as the setlist was relatively static all three nights. So I had 2-3 choices for each songs, except for the one offs like Incident (only on the 29th) and Held Up Without A Gun/In the Midnight Hour/Auld Lang Syne (All only on 31st.) For the sources, I used the Hussey remaster for the 28th, Crystal Cat's Coliseum Night for the 29th. And Crystal Cat's Nassau Night for the 31st (with the exception of 'The Price you Pay, which I will touch on later.) The tape for the 28th was in fair condition, pretty loud, but good. The 29th tape was pretty noisy, the 31st tape was both noisy and had a whining/ringing noise.  I wanted to use more from the 28th, but the songs were pretty loud and didn't always blend with songs from the other 2 nights. The majority of the show comes from the 29th, as the transitions were easy and the tape needed the least amount of work to fix.  Touching on the topic of "The Price You Pay", on the CC tape (Nassau Night), the ending harmonica solo was edited. So I was left to use the "From Master Tapes (EV2)" tape, which was mixed from the master multitracks by an assistant engineer working under Toby Scott back in the 80's. His tape was forgotten about by him until somewhat recently, when it was passed along and released by EV2. I had to fade the end of Fade Away from Nassau Night into the end of the same song from the master tape and blend it into the master version. Right now, it is around noon on December 24th, 2020. I had intended to release this on the 23rd, but spent the day remixing a good portion of this to fix some of the transitions. The final project is better due to the extra day in the oven so to speak.  I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed making it. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone, Lilbud (December 2020)

LINK: https://mega.nz/folder/AgA0ATRA#2r0LkAJhWzVbAktZgmbj5A Presenting my latest compilation, "...And the Leaves Came Tumbling Down". A compilation of tracks from the Fall of 1980 and 1984. This project got it's start with me listening to more bootlegs recently while doing schoolwork from home (much like many people as of late). And that's where the idea for this compilation came from. This is also the least time I've spent on a compilation to date. Only took me 3 days from start to finish (plus a day or so for the setlist planning). Started on the first, gave it an OCD pass on the second, made some changes and finished the artwork on the third. My favorite part of this all is the mini 'love' suite at the end of disc 2: The River - I Wanna Marry You - Wreck on the Highway - Racing in the Street - Stolen Car - Drive All Night. This is going up here and it should be up shortly on Jungleland providing my internet decides to cooperate. As well as other Bruce related places I frequent. Sidenote: This is also the first compilation I'm putting up without any prior announcement or post. The last two had posts announcing them before completion. Enjoy! Bringing this over from the old forum. For the uninitiated, I make covers for bootleg tapes in the style of the official archive releases. Because IMO, many covers were given horrendous looking artwork. I am also in a race against INC to keep up with their style of covers. As they usually like to try something different with each release from a tour. It's basically tradition at this point for me to make a cover for each archive cover, plus it gives me practice with PS. Here is a link to my site with all the ones I've done to this point (9/18/2020) And here is an alternate version of today's archive release, 8/6/84. I already have a template for the newest style, but I made this cover last night to be ahead of the curve. Going forward, I'll make covers in whichever style fits the pic I want to use.

A bit ago, I made a compilation of Bruce summer songs. I was thinking of doing one for Fall/Autumn, here is the song list I have so far, anybody have any additions or suggestions? Songs that remind you of the fall, or have fall/autumn/leaves in the song. Or even something about the end of summer. The summer one was easy because many of bruce's are either set in summer or remind you of summer in some way. Wings for Wheels The Wall Kingdom of Days Down in the Hole Into the Fire Stones

I'll make this a running post as I can decipher more lyrics before release. Either when the songs come out or by squinting very hard at the various notebook pages/album booklet. First up: Last Man Standing (Partial) Lights come up at the legion hall pool cues go back up on the wall you pack your guitar and disappear with ? the ringing in the your ear! a waitress cleans up the bar you pack your amp into the car --- the mike/wife --- you wake up in the morning and find it hard to believe somehow you are the last man standing snakeskin ? sharkskin custom heels on my black boots
