The archive series is worth it for versions like this. This is, by far, the best version of my absolute favorite Bruce song, I've ever heard. It's the only version I will listen to now. Similar to a few other songs like "Atlantic City" and "My Oklahoma Home", a live version has supplanted the original.

Just seeing this now. Absolutely awful, may she RIP. I didn't know her off the forum of course but she had some wonderful posts and will be dearly missed by us all.

Fantastic song. The video is great but makes me sad, it feels like a farewell. Sad because it's coming to an end, sad because I didn't get to experience most of it, but happy I got to experience some of it and got to see him in concert with my dad once, which was a night I'll never forget. Holding on to the faintest of hopes that I might be able to see him again at least one more time.

I've had a few allergy-like symptoms lately. So I went to get a test this afternoon just to be safe, so I should hear back Monday or Tuesday. Meanwhile, they said my blood pressure was high. It was probably a little elevated there because I walked to the office (over a mile), stress, and dehydration, but it was still worrying. I'm going to start drinking chamomille tea at night to destress, and I'm taking a break from following politics. There's so little to be happy about these days and being troubled/angry is frequent, so there's no point putting my own health at risk. I'll focus on studying, gaming, music, and (maybe) sports for the time being. If anyone has any meditation/destress ideas I'm all ears. I've tried meditating but my ADD makes it hard to stay focused on it. If something has worked for you, let me know and I'd love to give it a try. Much love all.

Very cool! It's well done and has a nice inspiration. I have one on my back, a nod to my Franco-American heritage. It's well done and I like it, but my main complaint is that I often forget it's there because I don't really see it. I'm thinking of getting another one soon. My ideas: Clarence and Bruce from Born to Run on the upper right side of my chest. I would possibly do Pearl Jam's Stickman somewhere else, too. The abolitionist John Brown with his final words on one of my arms - the base image would be a sketch of the statue in Osawatomie. Something to represent the American cities I've lived in or are connected to - like PHI>PIT>NYC.

You are an awesome dude and I'm glad I know you. The Bruce fandom has such a wonderful collection of folks. Steve and Buddha's stories were fascinating to read as well, you've led such interesting lives and it's touching to read how Bruce has impacted you. I feel like his music has provided something to all of us. Love you all.

As an American I can definitively say: America is not great, it was never great.

The song is decent, not his best but it might grow on me. I'm intrigued by the inclusion of "If I Was the Priest". That's a throwback to his earliest recording sessions. And, "Ghost" will be great to listen to on Halloween, I hope.

I'm tired of coming out on the losing end.
