I used to like Backstreet Boys when my kids were little and listening to them. So now it’s come to light that Brian Littrell (one of their best singers at the time) is on Parler and is a 45 supporter. What an ass.
I don't know, I think you can separate the art from the artist, especially if you enjoy the art. For example, I find Tom Cruise's Scientology beliefs bat shit whackadoodle crazy. But it won't stop me from checking out Top Gun 2 when it gets released.
Plenty of conservative Springsteen fans out there who can clearly ignore his politics (and he's an artist where the art has become infused more and more with his politics as his career has progressed).
I struggle with that. Batshit crazy I can handle, but far right opinions put me completely off someone. Fortunately, so far, I haven't come across someone I really admire whose politics I vehemently disagree with.
Many years ago I remember feeling vindicated for never liking Kenny Everett when he came out as a Thatcher supporter!

Backstreet Proud Boy.
Oh dear. That is always so disappointing when somebody you have admired turns out to be an ass.
