I still use the free version only, by and large it's pretty good.
But every so often, on my phone, it skips the first second or two of a track.
It doesn't do it all the time, but when it starts doing it, it does it consistently for a spell.
I've switched between the various playback options "gapless" "none" etc.
It may be just my crappy phone, which I'm stuck with until contract's end in October, but any suggestions?
I'll do it on the laptop then sync, TBH it's not been too bad since I got my new phone, still happens occasionally
I wish we could compare our settings because I don't have any trouble with it on my phone.
Rick, is that on the PC? I'm not seeing that path under options on the phone app.
Regarding the problem with clipping at beginning and end of tracks. I suddenly began having this problem myself after my PC crashed an MediaMonkey reverted to all the original settings. Try this.
Options>player>output plug-ins>configure>uncheck remove silence at beginning/end of tracks
Not being an itunes user...the files you rip go to a folder. You can just drag the files or their folder to the MUSIC heading of the mediamonkey sidebar and they will be added to your library. You have to be sure to drag them directly to MUSIC.
You can also set it up to scan the particular folder you store your music in.
Another Media Monkey question.
I was an iTunes user before moving to this.
I only have the free version of MM, so when it comes to ripping CDs I can't do that direct onto MM, so I've still been ripping CDs into iTunes then linking them to MM via the iTunes library.
This is a bit cumbersome, is there another way to do it?
The app on the phone, yes.
It's showing as last update April but none pending it due.
I'd need to check the PC.
I don't suppose that would matter as I manually add everything (PC to phone) rather than syncing.
Also, do you keep Mediamonkey updated?
You could download another music app and see if the problem persists across apps.
It comes and goes Rick, seems to have a mind of its own.
I'm putting it down to my phone, which is crap on a wide variety of levels.
I'm tied to it until October when I'm due an upgrade so if the issue persists on a better device I'll investigate further.
Any resolution to this yet?
I've tried Cross-fade on/off, gapless on/off and "none".
Doesn't seem to make a difference.
I'm reckoning it's my shit phone.
Never experienced this problem. Maybe check if "crossfade" is engaged.
