I'm a little surprised there isn't already a thread about the passing of this incredible lady.
17 days shy of her 100th birthday. Is in the Guinness Book of Records for having worked in television longer than any other human in history.
Played several iconic roles and was just brilliant and funny. She could improv with the best of them and even in her final performances, could crack an entire cast up with her spontaneous one liners.
She was the same age as my paternal grandmother, and they could have been sisters in looks and humour. I always intertwine the two in my mind.
RIP Ma'am, you've earned your rest.
As a brilliant Tweet I read went, you can just imagine Betty White arriving at the Pearly Gates and asking "Is this heaven?" and Bea Arthur replying "No, Rose. it's hell with better lighting..."
Stefano Diggs' tribute.
That's fantastic.
Betty was an icon. Even as a kid, watching her on Mary Tyler Moore, I thought she was the funniest of a very funny ensemble. I think she was so funny, that a lot of people didn't notice her beauty.
Stay golden, girl.
