I've got front standing for Villa Park, at the original price so I'm luckier than most and I am no longer very excited about this. So sad the pit queue has been sacrificed to Mammon. It just won't be the same now. Would love to meet up with old friends if anyone else going.
I'm not fussed about front row, done that, will be happy with a bit of breathing space at the back. My only fear is that greed will inflate the front standing to half the pitch.
When you went into the front standing option, which we both got at £155, you were told none were found. Go down another couple of lines and that’s were you could access the front standing at £442, no frills. In essence the same ticket but 3 times the price. Platinum is further down at the bottom. Correct, same algorithms I guess. They really are a shower of *#&%s.
Isn’t this what’s known as price gouging? Whatever it is it’s obscene, and any artist who’s endorsing it needs to take a long hard look at themselves. If it’s truly dynamic then as folks walk away in disgust the price should surely plummet? May be a bit risky, but cheap tickets might be more readily available in the weeks before the shows? Downside would be accommodation & travel costs I suppose.
In concert with the whole raft of ‘pre-sale’ offers and, in the US, supposed ‘fan verification’, this has been an absolute shit-show. Never seen such a ticketing mess before. If someone who managed to get all his tickets at launch price, and in gold circle bar one, is really pissed off to see the fan base being treated like this, what must those who weren’t so lucky be feeling?
How’s about everyone in the pit/gold circle/front stage standing areas replaces the Broooooce routine with a ‘fuck Ticketbastard’ chant?
Showing front standing at £155, but when I went in to select none available. The £442 standing tickets were down front, and available for selection. Not reached the levels of US arenas, but still pretty sick inducing.
“Ticketmaster's Official Platinum seat program enables market-based pricing (adjusting prices according to supply and demand) for live event tickets, similar to how airline tickets and hotel rooms are sold.”
Looks like it. We were seeing it when we were sorting out our Europe shows too. Dunno if it’ll also happen in the States. Got a buddy who’s verified (another load of Ticketbastard bollocks) for Portland & Seattle so will be interested to find out, with half an eye on doing something for the autumn US leg.
Is there any way I can get posts in chronological order?? This really is driving me crackers (and driving me back to GL) I am sure I am.missibg loads of stuff just because of the way it now works.
Oh, we’d look after you. You’d be fine as long as you didnt insist on wearing colours. Anyhow when it comes to Bruce he trumps any football loyalties in my book!
£220 with ’fees’. Bear in mind tho’ that BST has 3 main stage support bands, smaller stage off to the side, funfair, fast food stalls and all the set up from scratch.
You’d think that would be reflected in a price differential. So yeah, probably around £220. Those show ponies don’t come cheap either.
The Villa Park layout shows a golden circle, I’m afraid, with the caveat that it’s for illustrative purposes. Likewise M’field. Only one I’ve seen without is Dublin, tho’ admittedly I only looked at a selection on the continent.
I'll be honest, I'm happy enough with Golden Circle tickets for both gigs......if I can get them.
I've loved the old pit Q experiences (if the weather is OK) they're a laugh, but having a leisurely lunch, couple of pints, meander into the venue half an hour before kick off is a lot more civilised at my age.

Good to see Amy Lofgren say it as it is.
Aye, but I'm sure they call them that ....or something similar.
I saw a spiel someplace about how the price was set by market demands in the same fashion as flights and hotels.
It's fucking scandalous it really is.
Naw, just your regular front of stage standing.
@walkerinthesun These are the "Platinum tickets"?
I think this should be illegal, I genuinely do.
But it's the "free market" which our fucking scum political leaders adore, so n a cat in hell"s chance of it ever being regulated.

Scary.
Really scary.

Tampa
I'm reading that floor tickets for Boston cost $3000-4000. That might be bullshit info, but if not, well that is bullshit from the powers that be.
Wow.
That's just for a ticket?
That really is the wholly unacceptable face of Capitalism (amongst a myriad of other unacceptable faces).
So, they hold back some of the most sought after tickets and then sell them at an inflated, "market dictated" rate?
Ticketmaster are fucking scum and though I accept that practice is legal, it sure as fuck should not be.
Holy f*ck!
Thing is, there were always a lot of haters over there, it was almost cultural.
I kind of tuned a lot of it out.
I'm glad I had a swatch at the old place as that's where I got the link for the Villa Park tickets.
We need the Gaffer in on this @Greasy Lake For Us
@ibbhomero
Help us out Bud?
I'm all over the shop with this. Can we get threads in a straight, chronological order?
