If by chance any of you have 'visited' cantfindtickets.wordpress.com over the last 17 hours, I think you'll know why I've never been happier to share a blog post than this one!
What else is interesting here is the beginnings of what would become standard in the first set on the River tour, and that's weaving a spoken narrative around the songs. 'Our story starts in the darkness on the edge of town...' 'next to the Heartbreak Hotel there was this factory...'. It's pretty simplistic and doesn't add the depth and nuance that the stories linking things like Indy Day, Factory, This Land Is Your Land etc. would in a few years time, but it is different to the standard MO at the time which was more just unrelated stories before Thunder Road and in the middle of Growin Up.
So, I'm one of those who thought I'd had enough 78 shows from the Archive.
Turns out I was wrong. This is unbelievable. Hell, my long time worship of Passiac 1 and Winterland 1 from radio broadcast bootleg days is being tested here... it's only the fact this is 'unrepresentative' of a normal Darkness show that I'm reluctant to crown a new personal best.
So this was originally meant to be the last tour show? Wow, Bruce laying it all on the line here...

I'm really gonna have to start backing up everything I've published 😆
I've got a blog review to write and I'm lost for words. This one might take a while.
What a concert. Absolutely incredible

This show is why there is an Archive series.
Never been this excited by a new release in a while...
The force of the band as they hit Spirit is just jaw dropping. I cannot believe how good this is.
Hey Ho Rock n roll deliver me from nowhere!!!
Point Blank is how to describe the creative process in two words.
Immaculate Bruce. I'm enjoying the rawness of his emotions in this performance so much.
The Heartbreak Hotel is fantastic, he's better than Elvis.
This "Because the Night," Jesus Christ.

I bet Daisey Jeep is ecstatic about this amazing Kitty's Back.
Meeting into Jungleland AND Incident into Rosie? I'm here for it.
Is this the best Because The Night of the tour?
I love hearing Darkness tour versions of Point Blank because I don't know all the lyrics.
A Stones cover to open? Fuck, yeah.
This is a gem among the Archive Series.
This show is fucking fantastic.
God, when he is good he is great.
Can't wait to get home from work today so I can Rick this.

Incredible setlist and performance.
I'll take ten more Darkness shows like this one.
